Achievements 1998 - 2000
The first official "test" Chuck had was the BH in Finland. This
was 19.09-00, and we had never tried or seen this trial or the IPO program prior
to this day, so I was reading the program on the ferry, trying to learn it. We
was allowed to start last, which gave me an opportunity to see how it was done.
Chuck and I had been training obedience program and working dog obedience
program in Norway (That's two different program, and it's also different from
IPO). So if I could remember the program, I knew that Chuck could do all the
movement's. It went quite well. At least, I was very satisfied with our
accomplishment.
The week after we were also going to participate in the
ZTP-test. Again, I didn't know anything about this test/program, but as we
trained for it, I was quite confident that he would pas. The ZTP-test was on the
23.09-00 and Chuck had just turned 16 month. He did very well and got the rating
SG-1A. He was also rated the best dog on the test that day.
This was my
first time in Finland. We got to know a lot of nice dog people. We trained in
different Club's and with different decoys. The training before the ZTP-test was
with Mika Myrry as decoy. We also got to know Timo Helynen (helper at the ZTP),
and the club in Kotka. We've been there several times sice, and I hope we can
manage to visit also in the future.
